Группа была основана в 2014 году, сразу выпустив первое демо. В ноябре 2016 года дебютный альбом «Assailing the Holy» был выпущен на польском лейбле Mad Lion Records. Mallephyr выступали на чешских фестивалях, таких как Brutal Assault, Phantoms of Pilsen, Enter the Eternal Fire Fest, а также играли на разогреве у Dark Funeral, Forgotten Tomb, Nocturnal Depression, The Stone, Oranssi Pazuzu, Rotting Christ, Acherontas, Harakiri For The Sky... Группа также выступала несколько раз в Польше, Австрии, Словакии и Германии.
Mallephyr is a black/death metal band from Pilsen, Czech Republic. The band was founded in 2014 and released a two songs demo record that year. In November 2016, the debut full-length album "Assailing the Holy" was released via Polish label Mad Lion Records. Mallephyr performed at Czech festivals like Brutal Assault, Phantoms of Pilsen, Enter the Eternal Fire Fest and also played club shows as a support for Dark Funeral, Forgotten Tomb, Nocturnal Depression, The Stone, Oranssi Pazuzu, Rotting Christ, Acherontas, Harakiri For The Sky etc. The band also performed several times in Poland, Austria, Slovakia and Germany.

"Womb of Worms" could be described as a black/death metal recording with the emphasis put on disharmonies and dark atmosphere, lyrically anchored in negativistic vision of mankind and world in general. It was recorded, mixed and mastered in KSV Studios in Prague again during 2017 and 2018. Cover artwork was created by Marek Škubal. For fans of SVART CROWN, BEHEMOTH, DISSECTION and OUTRE.
